Main Street serves as a baseline for its nationally registered historic district of 139 sturctures, a virtual museum of the cities architectural style and taste and function of the past.
The Pinal County Historical Society Museum contains many exhibits, from prehistoric Indian artifacts to a sobering display of hangman nooses from recent prisoner executions.
The first Pinal County Courthouse is operated by the AZ State Parks. Site of historic trials, lynchings (successful & not). Exhibits detail the building's history as a courthouse (1878 - 1891), county hospital (1891-1937), and Pinal County's first "old folks home". Artifacts, photos, and text describe life at one of the largest POW camps during WWII at Florence.
