Population: 36,330 Nestled between the Sierra Nevada foothills and the Sacramento Valley is the wonderful community of Rocklin in South Placer County. One of the region’s most progressive malls has been built within minutes of Rocklin. The Roseville Galleria is a one million plus square foot shopping mall of the future, including fine stores such as Nordstrom’s, Macy’s, Penney’s, Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn. The growing high tech corridor is also minutes away and boasts such companies as Hewlett Packard, NEC, Oracle, Western Electric and Reynolds Metals.

Our weather is hard to beat with an average of 275 days of sunshine. We have four seasons, but none so extreme as to make either summer or winter uncomfortable. The average daytime temperature in summer is 85-95 degrees, while winter hovers between the low 50’s to the upper 60’s. It is not uncommon in late February to see someone playing a game of tennis, while October still provides warm days to garden, picnic and sneak in a last minute campout weekend. Our rainiest months are December through February.

Historically speaking, Rocklin and the surrounding areas abound in culture. Gold was first discovered in 1849 at Sutter’s Mill, a short drive into the foothills. There are many historical parks, museums and points of interest that welcome you to investigate the rich history of the Mother Lode Country of Northern California.
