Firestone is a town in Weld County. Founded by the Denslow Coal & Land Company and named for Jacob Firestone, owner of the townsite land. The coal-mining towns of Firestone, Dacono and Frederick have been called the "tri-cities" because of their proximity.
Frederick and Firestone are located in Weld County but are part of the Longmont St. Vrain Valley School District. All three towns are conveniently located east of I-25 between Highway 66 and Highway 52. These three towns are an easy commute to North Denver, Boulder, Longmont or Loveland.
