(Windsor is a charming town located near the base of the Front Range Mountains)
The town of Windsor is located in north central Colorado, just east of I-25 and the city of Fort Collins. Historically, Windsor has been agricultural town and even today this heritage continues in full force with the annual Windsor Harvest Festival. This festival, celebrated in early September, brings out the entire town as arts and crafts booths, a home and garden show, and boat races fill the area with non-stop activity for three days. Also included in the Festival is a parade showcasing floats made by several local organizations that compete for prizes.
Windsor enjoys its unique character, but current economic initiatives are underway to attract more businesses in
the areas of research and development, manufacturing, processing and distribution. With the towns of Fort Collins, Greeley and Loveland all within 20 minutes there is great appeal to Windsor. In fact, it is halfway between Northern Colorado University and Colorado State University, which insures an available and talented workforce.
Another aspect of Windsor worth mentioning is its proximity to some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. The Front Range Mountains and the Rockies are only fifteen miles to the west, providing a continuous backdrop of snow-capped peaks during the day, and towering silhouettes at night. Windsor and the surrounding area inundated with Bed & Breakfast facilities that allow visitors and residents to take a romantic leave of absence while enjoying the solitude of nature.
