Location has always been an integral thread in the tapestry that has made up Milford's successes. In the 1770's, a ship building industry of some reputation was flourishing in Milford.
The reason for this successful industry was due to Milford being located on both the north and south banks of the Mispillion River. This location also placed Milford in both Kent and Sussex Counties. Location today is still a major thread of success for Milford being centrally located in the State and lying at the intersection of two major north - south arteries, U.S. 113 and Delaware Route 1 and right next to U.S. Route 13.
Milford, though proud of her historic traditions, maintains an unprecedented positive vision about the future. Milford's enthusiasm to keep laying new foundations and revitalizing old ones keeps planning for the future in the forefront.
Residents of Milford savor the true essence and quality of life by being close to both the richness of the land and the abundance of nature while still having direct access to up-to-date city services and conveniences.
Come visit Delaware's fastest growing community and explore for yourself the threads that make up Milford's tapestry.
