Climaxing this growth, the City purchased the old Apopka School site for a new City Complex. The main building has been remodeled into a Georgia Colonial-style City Hall, and a new building was added to house the Fire Department and emergency operating center. The Police Department remodeled a nearby building for its operation center.

Apopka schools as a part of the Orange County school system are fully accredited by the Accreditation Department of the Florida State School Board. The middle and senior high schools are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges, Universities and Secondary Schools.
