In addition to being the site of some of our country's biggest technological wonders, the town of Titusville offers much in the way of natural wonders as well. Situated along the Indian River with quick access to Cape Canaveral and the Canaveral National Seashore, Titusville is in the center of a natural playground. Nearby Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge features 140,000 acres which are home to 16 threatened or endangered mammals and some of the world's finest birding. While most of Titusville's attractions are centered on the space program and the unique natural environment that exists here, there are several historical and cultural sites that may be of interest. Much of the earliest buildings have been preserved.
