Johns Creek is located in Fulton County

Population: 62,049

Incorporated on December 1, 2006, Johns Creek is named for the body of water that runs through the area.  Georgia's tenth-largest city was created out of the entire unincorporated North East Fulton County, which was nothing but farmland only 30 years ago.  Johns Creek is bounded to the south by the Chattahoochee River and Gwinnett County, McGinnis Ferry Road and Forsyth County are located on the Northeast and the city has an irregular boundary with the cities of Roswell and Alpharetta on the Northwest side.

Johns Creek is predominately upper-middle class and has some ethnic diversity; for example, the city has a large Asian-American population which is evident in the area's churches and stores.  Full service restaurants and higher-end clothing retailers dominate the area's retail market and dominate social activities.  With an estimated 50 - 60 thousand residents calling Johns Creek home, it is no wonder that it has quickly found a place in the respected suburbs of Atlanta.

A live-work-play city, Johns Creek harbors communities, which incorporate both Golf and Tennis amenities on a regular basis. Homes in the price range of $500 - $600 thousand are commonplace. Convenience also flourishes here with great shopping and restaurants within a stone's throw.

Education
All public schools in Johns Creek are part of the Fulton County School System, one of the oldest and largest school districts in Georgia. Founded in 1871, the System is serving more than 86,600 students during the 2006-2007 school year.

The following Fulton County high, middle and elementary schools are located in Johns Creek (a third High School is slated to be built in Johns Creek and scheduled to open in 2009): Chattahoochee High School, Northview High School, Autrey Mill Middle School, River Trail Middle School, Taylor Road Middle School, Abbotts Hill Elementary, Barnwell Elementary, Dolvin Elementary, Findley Oaks Elementary, Medlock Bridge Elementary, Ocee Elementary, Shakerag Elementary, State Bridge Crossing Elementary and Wilson Creek Elementary
