(Above the Scenic Snake River)
The town of Twin Falls is the seat of Twin Falls County. Both were named after waterfalls located seven miles northeast of the town. These waterfalls are only the beginning of Twin Falls' scenic surroundings as nearby Snake River Canyon and the several mountain ranges are a photographer's delight.
Twin Falls is Idaho's fourth largest town and is situated between Boise and Pocatello. What began as a farming and food production center has become the focal point for recreational pursuits throughout southern Idaho. While Twin Falls maintains a heavy dependence on food production (6 of the town's 10 largest employers are involved in this industry) it has taken full advantage of its outdoor treasures and tourism is significant to the economy.
As the popularity of Twin Falls has led to and increase in growth and prosperity the small-town charm of this community has remained intact. Friendly neighbors, clean air, and low crime rates have kept this community tight-knit. Festivals and parades throughout the year, including the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Twin Falls Western Days, keep residents involved with the community and friendships strong.
