SPRING TEA: Join your friends at Silver Moon Restaurant in Downtown LeRoy for the "Spring Tea", with an assortment of teas, coffees, and an array of desserts. Visit the "garden shops" of LeRoy, for ideas for spring and summer gardening. Your donation to the event will help to purchase new PLANTERS for the Center/Chestnut intersection Downtown. GRAND VILLAGE OF THE KICKAPOO POW-WOW: Celebrate LeRoy's heritage at the annual Pow-Wow held at the Grand Village of the Kickapoo Park, northeast of LeRoy (follow signs). The dates are June 4-5, and the event features native costumes, dance, and other cultural traditions. SUMMER FEST: Bands! Beer! Car Show! Tractor Show! Talent Show! Kiddy Tractor Pull! Gold Mining! Face Painting! Games! BBQ Cook-off! Sidewalk Sales! And MUCH MORE! All this awaits you at the Chamber of Commerce's third annual SUMMER FEST Celebration, scheduled for Saturday, June 11, all day long and well in to the night, in Downtown LeRoy. 4th OF JULY CELEBRATION: Come to LeRoy on Monday, July 4, for a full evening of fun, food, games, and excitement at L.A. McKean Field (the football field on the east end of LeRoy, off Route 150). Sponsored by the City of LeRoy and the "Committee of Three", this event ends with a spectacular fireworks display at dusk. Donations accepted at the entrance gates. LEROY FALL FESTIVAL: A LeRoy tradition for over sixty years! Carnival, free entertainment in Kiwanis Park, lots of food, lots of fun! Held in Downtown LeRoy, and sponsored by the Fall Festival Association, this year's event will be August 16-20. THE LABOR DAY WEEKEND DIDDELY-SQUAT PARADE FOR PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS: Scheduled for Labor Day weekend, but in the event of rain, it will be held earlier than that. Famous people might appear, but probably won't. There might be floats. Or not. But probably not bands, unless one shows up. What there WILL be are lots of fun and silliness and a genuine old-fashioned fund-raising parade for Parks and Playgrounds. Don't come without your wallet or purse! There will be consequences. Maybe. HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION: A community-wide celebration, beginning with Downtown Trick-or-Treating, and the annual Halloween Parade and costume judging. Community trick-or-treating dates and hours will be announced, at a later date, as will other details about the Halloween Celebration. CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION: LeRoy ushers in the holiday season in grand style, with a parade, "Taste of Christmas", Children's Christmas Shop, numerous merchant-sponsored activities, chili luncheons, special museum displays, craft fair, and much more. The 2005 Celebration will begin on Friday evening, December 2, and continue through Sunday, December 4, with activities planned for all three days.
