Naperville is located in DuPage and Will County

Population: 135,000

The City of Naperville has all the charms of an 18th century settlement but still captures the essence of a booming metropolis. Naperville is the oldest city in DuPage County and continues to be one of the fastest-growing communities in the country. Historic downtown Naperville offers many  family-owned shops and restaurants featuring the finest of French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and Cuban cuisines. Just minutes from downtown, visitors can choose from a wide range of hotels, which offer easy access to Interstate-88.

Naperville is the fourth largest city in Illinois with about 135,000 residents. Ranked as a top community in the United States to raise children, retire and start a home-based business, the city boasts nationally acclaimed schools, the best public library system in the country and an exceptionally low crime rate.

The city is also home to the Naperville Park District, a longstanding entity that has provided leisure and life experiences for thousands of residents year after year. In 1966, Naperville’s residents voted to establish the park district through a public referendum. At the time, the resident population was a mere 18,000. Many residents welcomed the park district concept as the need for recreational outlets began to steadily increase.

Today, the Naperville Park District maintains and operates approximately 2,300 acres overall, comprised of 130 parks, two golf courses, four sports complexes, one that includes an in-line skating/skateboarding facility, one very unique aquatic facility, and a multitude of baseball and soccer fields and tennis and basketball courts. They offer nine hundred programs each year and serve nearly 80,000 participants through various recreational, arts, and environmental programs. And, who could forget the crown jewel of Naperville – the beautiful Riverwalk!
