The community of Andover, KS is a growing community of approximately 8,222 people. There are a variety of businesses: including shopping centers, medical complexes, counseling centers, retirement community, hotels, and a business and industrial park. Andover has the small community atmosphere of friendliness and caring residents, plus we have all the advantages of a larger city with the close proximity of Wichita.
Recreational areas of Andover has much to offer its residents: a recreational area located at 1008 E. 13th Street, 1/2 mile east of Andover Road., with tennis courts, the Andover Community Center, T-Ball diamonds, soccer field, basketball court, horseshoe pit, volleyball, children's playground and a great place to picnic! We also have a park at 1607 E. Central with walking paths, a fishing lake and a lodge. The Recreation Center and Lodge buildings are available for rent.
The City Hall is located at 909 N. Andover Road and houses the City Administrative, Public Works and Parks and Recreational Department on the main floor and the Accounting Department on the lower level. The Police and Animal Control Departments are also located just behind the City Hall.
The Public Library is located at 937 N. Andover Road. It offers many reading programs and is a great place to get information and applications for passports.

Home town Christmas in Anover Central Park is where the locals-only holiday celebration features a chili cook-off, caroling, s'more making by the bonfire, free treats, and a luminary carriage ride through the park. The highlight of the evening occurs when Santa arrives "red light and siren" on the Andover fire truck.
Shopping at Andover Square and The Plaza provide local shopping venues for residents at Andover Road and Central. Clothing stores, restaurants, hair and nail salons, and specialty shops provide unique shopping experiences.
