Sulphur is a city on the move. Economic growth is a top priority and local business is thriving! This is evidenced by dramatic increases in sales tax and property tax revenues, building permits and population figures.
We are referred to as "The pride of Southwest Louisiana". This is understandable since our citizens take pride in their heritage, as well as the future of our city..
There is a particular magic in Sulphur, which offers our visitors a memorable and enjoyable stay. Our fine cuisine and points of interest are abundant and exciting
For those considering relocating to our wonderful and exciting city, you will soon learn what we all know ---- “Sulphur is a great place to live, work and raise a family”.
EDUCATION We know that a quality education is what it takes to get ahead in today's society. This is why we prepare our children with great schools and caring teachers. Sulphur schools have a low student to teacher ratio, making it easy for our children to learn. An active and productive environment is what it takes to achieve academic excellence. Our mission is to provide an education that allows all students the opportunity to grow and develop to their fullest potential while acquiring knowledge, attitudes, and skills that foster lifelong, independent learning.
