Newton, "The Garden City", is located eight miles west of Boston and only ten miles from the State House downtown. Newton's convenient location leaves most destinations in Massachusetts only a half an hour away.
There are thirteen villages within Newton. The city also has an excellent school system; both public and private schools offer a wide range of choices. Newton is also home to the prominent Boston College serving 14,000 students.
Housing ranges from single-family homes to apartments and condominiums. Values remain constant, even when economy is struggling, although that rarely happens in this city with its high economy and bustling business district. The city of Newton has much to offer its residents with its welcoming community, excellent school systems, and energetic business district.
Newton also offers easy access to Boston with public and private transportation. Commonwealth and Beacon give a straight trip to Downtown Boston. There is also Rt. 9 for fast access to the City of Boston. You can also access trains, buses and taxi's to get you into Boston as well.
