(The J. V. Fletcher Library)
The town of Westford is situated about 5 miles west of the intersection of I-495 and US 3, and is just 30 minutes from downtown Boston. In addition to having quick access to the big city and nearby communities, Westford has much to offer its residents. Perhaps the most popular attraction is the Nashoba Valley Ski Area, which is the only ski area in this part of the state. In addition to great recreational opportunities and the natural beauty that surrounds them, Westford has a rich historical foundation. The Westford Museum and Historical Society contains many small artifacts from the town's past, including photos of some of the area's first families. Other area attractions include the Butterfly Place, a 3,100 sq. ft. glass atrium housing (you guessed it) butterflies.
Westford is a perfect blend of rich heritage and modern living. There is a variety of available housing and the local school system is strong. The J. V. Fletcher Library is an award-winning library offering not only books, but also numerous other media (including CDs and puppets).
