Population: 27,617 Burton is a major southeastern suburb of the greater Flint area in Genesee County. It is primarily a residential community with several shopping plazas along major routes, including the Dort Highway. The City Complex, located on Center Road between Bristol and Maple, contains the post office, City Hall, the police station and court building. It also includes a stately, flag-lined veterans' memorial in the center.
