"Hutchinson is one of the hottest small towns in the country offering solid jobs and a healthy median income," Money Magazine.
Ranking 41st among America's 50 Hottest Little Boomtowns in America, Hutchinson is a computer-aged company town featuring new age manufacturing jobs and high-tech businesses. Hutchinson is a wealth of resources for business and individuals and prides itself on its quality of life and global attitude.
History of Hutchinson
Nearly 150 years ago, settlers stopped on a river bluff, looked out over a scenic river valley and found what they had been looking for - a quiet and peaceful place to build and grow - the future site of Hutchinson.
Since then, the City of Hutchinson has grown to more than 13,500 residents, with established schools, churches, businesses, industries, recreation and sports complexes. Fine lodging, dining and convention facilities have also become a part of the Hutchinson community.
History of the Crow River
The Crow River flowing through the city bears the name of the great Dakota Chief Little Crow. A statue erected in his honor gazes across the rippling water near the Main Street dam.
In Hutchinson, we're expecting you to find some of the same things the early settlers found - a beautiful and relaxing place with friendly, caring people.
