Charming and Historic Pass Christian is situated on the beautiful Mississippi Sound (Gulf of Mexico). The dominate influence on the early history of "The Pass", as the city is referred to locally, was French.
Present day Pass Christian is a modern community offering its people a full range of services, excellent schools, and churches of several denominations.
The fishing industry, primarily shrimping and oystering, is one of the most colorful elements of Pass Christian's economic life. The city is the home of the second oldest yacht club in the United States, dating back to 1849. It also contains the largest concentration of homes on the National Historic Register along the Gulf Coast.
The reputation of "The Pass" has always been rooted in its wonderful people, its gracious way of living, its recreation, and its climate averaging annually 68-69 degrees.
