(Lake Mead as Viewed From the Foothills of Boulder City)
Boulder City is located in Clark County
Population: 14,700 Boulder City is historic, picturesque, and unique in the fact that it is the only city in Nevada where no gambling is allowed. It is the gateway to Hoover Dam, one of the most fascinating structures ever built, and to Lake Mead, our country’s largest man-made lake and one of the most beautiful.
 Hoover Dam |
Boulder City was created in the 1930’s to provide shelter for the workers building the dam, and the historic district is reminiscent of that era. Although it is the largest city in the state in square miles, it is one of the smaller in population with approximately 14,700 people. Housing prices cover a wide range, from homes under $150,000 built in the 1940’s to lavish custom homes overlooking the lake and priced at over $1 million. There are also lake view lots available. The city offers a community pool, tennis and racquetball courts, athletic fields, an 18-hole golf course, and a local airport. Shoppers enjoy the boutiques and galleries, and the Lake Mead Recreational Area provides year-round activities for boaters and fishermen.
No trip to Southern Nevada would be complete without visiting Boulder City. Its beauty and charm will entice you to stay.
