Mesquite has a central location on I-15 between southern California and Salt Lake City. Its location, as well as its low crime rates, great weather and recreational activities, has caused Mesquite to grow at an exceptional rate.

The diversity of Mesquite makes it an attractive city. On the east and west edges of the city there are clusters of resort and gaming properties and within a few miles of Mesquite there are many natural attractions including nine national parks, 12 national monuments and six national forests.

Cultural events are also a big part of the community. The Mesquite Arts Council promotes international music and dramatic artists in performances held monthly form September until April each year and The Mesquite Events Board annually sponsors community activities. Some of the activities include the Great Mesquite Chili and Art Festival and Mesquite Days, which includes a parade, a 10-K run/5k walk and carnival.

Depending upon your perspective, you might call this a slow, easy-going place to live, or a fast-paced, action-filled destination. To some it’s a hometown, to others, a boomtown. On either end of the city you’ll find slot machines, blackjack tables, gourmet food, Jacuzzis and world class golf courses. In between you’ll rediscover the down-home memories of a good thick malt on a patio table, tree-lined neighborhoods, and the peacefulness of an evening walk along a quiet street.
