EXETER    From early 1638 to today, Exeter continues to draw modern day settlers, because of it's vibrant friendly community.  Home of the renowned Phillips Exeter Academy, established in 1783 and still one of the country's most distinguished private secondary schools.  Downtown has a collection of commercial building along the waterfront with its specialty shops and fine dining.  A Victorian bandstand where the town's Brass Band is said to be the nations' oldest, performs each summer.  

Exeter's land area is 20.4 square miles. In 1997 the average purchase price of a house was $154,000. The median family income in 1994 was $42,556.

An active recreation department host many town activities. Its Easter egg hunt, sports programs and bus trips to out-of-town events attract young and old participants. The local arts association sponsors musical theater, children's agricultural surroundings.  Exeter hosts a weekly Farmers' Market during the summer (June through beginning of October).  A walk along the tree-lined streets of Exeter is a stroll through history.  Exeter is home to the American Independence Museum. Each summer, Exeter's Revolutionary War Festival is held on the museum grounds; more than 10,000 people flock to Exeter that weekend to experience a militia encampment and re-enactment of the Revolutionary War.

The community of Exeter provides excellent public services, wonderful educational facilities, and a favorable economic base and tax climate and are ideal locations for a business or residence.  Town Services are sewer and water in most areas of town.
