Denville, a 13.7 square mile community, is centrally located in and known as the "hub" of Morris County. The population lives in seven lake communities, with a social and economic structure covering a wide spectrum of middle class families. Only 40 miles from New York City, many residents have an easy commute to work in Newark and Manhattan, while a number are employed in the area. There are three industrial parks in Denville. In terms of commutation, Denville is in an excellent location with easy access to major highways including routes 10, 46, 80, 287 and 202. It is the junction for the Boonton and Morristown branches of the New Jersey Transit rail commutation service; and service to Newark and New York City is excellent. Fast bus service in to mid-town is also available. Morristown Municipal Airport houses corporate jets for businesses.

The Denville School District offers efficient and well-developed programs. In addition, several private schools make their home in nearby communities. The opportunity for higher learning at the college and university levels is also available within Morris County at Drew University (Madison), Fairleigh Dickenson University (Madison-Florham Park), St. Elizabeth's College (Convent Station) and Morris County Community College (Randolph).
