Population: 16,012 Hamilton Township is the County Seat of Atlantic County, which houses many County Facilities including the County Clerk, Surrogate, Sheriff, County Prosecutor, Criminal Courts Complex, county Jail, county Vocational Technical School, Special Services School, Atlantic Cape Community College, County Superintendent of Schools, county 4-H facility, county Department of Agriculture, Board of Elections and Public Defender.

Hamilton Township also is home to much of the Commercial and Retail Facilities located within the County including the Hamilton Mall, the Festival Mall the Consumer Square and the Hamilton Township Industrial Complex. This is also the home to the Atlantic City Race Course. It is serviced by The Atlantic City Expressway and US Rt 40/322 and US Rt 50.

Hamilton Township is a designated growth community by the New Jersey Pinelands Commission and has experienced much new construction.

Hamilton Township has a well trained Volunteer Fire and Emergency Medical Services departments, as well as a professional Police Department.

Hamilton Township hosts many fine Public and Private Golf Facilities.

There is a large number of recreational and sports facilities within the township including the 7 ½ mile county Bikeway and The County Facility at Lake Lenape Park.
