Nearby are Jockey Hollow (Morristown Historical Park), Fosterfields Living Historical Farm, the Frelinghuysen Arboretum and the Morris Art Museum. Recreational areas are extensive, with over 11,000 acres of County Parks, riding and biking trails, golf courses, tennis courts, equestrian facilities, community pools and lakes. Morristown also boasts the Community Theater for symphonies, ballet, world-renowned performers and specialty groups. Shopping is abundant in a variety of in-town specialty shops and within minutes of the Livingston, Short Hills and Bridgewater malls. As part of the New York metropolitan area, Morristown is within an hour's commute to NYC with easy access to its extensive cultural, sports, dining and employment opportunities. Morristown has easy access to all major highways through I-287. This includes State Routes 10 and 24; U.S. Routes 46 and Interstates 78, 80, 280 and 287. New Jersey Transit provides rail commutation service, with direct access to New York City. Bus service is excellent between Morristown, Newark and New York. Intra-county service ties in major communities between Morristown and Netcong. Morristown Municipal Airport houses corporate jets for businesses.

The Morris School District is a community asset serving the people of Morristown and Morris Township. There is opportunity for all students within a fully integrated system that boasts development of a varied curriculum with a comprehensive program of studies for all students.
