Harrison is located in Westchester County
Population: 23,308 The Town of Harrison offers a variety of beautiful homes in various styles and in lovely settings. In the part of Harrison known as Purchase are some of the most beautiful homes and estates in Westchester County. Also located in the Purchase section of Harrison are the State University of New York at Purchase (SUNY Purchase) and Manhattanville College. These two facilities offer a range of cultural activities, including theater, concerts, dance presentations and the Neuberger Museum, with its collection of American and African art.
Harrison's children are served by four public elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school (93.8% of graduates go on to college). There are also several parochial schools, and a Japanese high school, within the Harrison town limits. The town's recreational facilities are quite extensive as well.
Westchester's "Platinum Mile" of corporate office complexes (location of Hanford Noble's office in Harrison) runs through Harrison along I-287, and connects it with the growing office presence along Connecticut's "Gold Coast" in Greenwich and Stamford to the east, and also to those in White Plains and Tarrytown to the west. Shopping at "The Westchester" and "Galleria" malls in White Plains is only minutes away, as is shopping at the "Rye Ridge Shopping Center" and the "Stamford Town Center" mall in Connecticut. Harrison is also the location of the Westchester branch of St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York.
The Westchester Country Club (Home of the "Westchester Open") is located in Harrison, as are the Century Country Club, the Old Oaks Country Club, the Apawamis Country Club, and the Brae Burn Golf Club. Harrison is also within close proximity to the Purchase and Blind Brook country clubs, as well as various other public and private golf courses.
