There is plenty to do here in Wichita Falls. The Wichita Falls Memorial Auditorium is where the Wichita Falls Symphony and Ballet, and country western artists perform. It hosts more than 80 events annually. The Kell House is home to Wichita Falls founding father Frank Kell. There is the Wichita Falls Museum and Art Center, with exhibitions changing frequently. Sheppard Air Force Base is here. It is the headquarters for the EURO-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program. The base is also host to one of the nation's largest technical training centers. Wichita Falls Railroad Museum is the site of the former Union Station. It features equipment from six Texas Railroads, including the nation's largest collection of rolling stock from the Missouri-Kansas-Texas (Katy) Railroad. There are at least 29 shops to go antiquing. Wichita Falls has more than 40 city parks, and a multitude of state-of-the-art sports stadium and complexes. All this and without mentioning the plentitude of entertainment and night life.
The fully accredited state university, Midwestern State University is located on 170- acres in Wichita Falls. It offers 62 degree programs as well as a wide range of NCAA sports.
