Population: 96,259 The falls was washed away more than 100 years ago. However, completed in 1986 is a 54 foot man-made falls. Wichita Falls has more than 40 city parks, and a multitude of state-of-the-art sports stadium and complexes. All this and without mentioning the plentitude of entertainment and night life.

The fully accredited state university, Midwestern State University is located on 170- acres in Wichita Falls. It offers 62 degree programs as well as a wide range of NCAA sports.
