The philosophy of the leaders of both the city and county is that business success cannot be separated from the economic and social welfare of the area. That philosophy has resulted in exceptionally low tax rates in the city and county and with lower utility rates than most communities in the nation.
Agricultural is a traditional industry of the county. Brigham City's famous "fruitway" attracts buyers from all along the Wasatch Front to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables grown in Box Elder County. Community activities and cultural pursuits round out the wide variety of recreation in the area. It is a wonderful place to raise a family: full of trees, parks and good people.
