"Pasco, Fit For Success!"

Pasco constitutes one-third of the Tri-Cities region in southeastern Washington. Pasco is the seat of Franklin County and enjoys a strategic economic location between Kennewick and Richland, the remaining two-thirds of the Tri-Cities area. Pasco's location at the fork of the Snake and Columbia Rivers makes this town quite useful as a port. In fact, the area's geographic location has made it an important hub for water travel in the entire Pacific Northwest. While historically used for barge shipments of grain from the area on the Columbia River to the seacoast terminals, the Port of Pasco has developed new capabilities over the years. Currently, the area around the Port is available for businesses looking for affordable space, easy interstate access, railroad transport and air transportation.

Visitors to Pasco will enjoy one of the area's most precious resources - its water. Swimming at local parks and fishing along the Hanford Reach are among the most popular activities in this generally desert climate. The Hanford Reach is also famous for the variety of wildlife that it showcases. Pasco also offers peaks into its rich history, whether through a visit to The Farmer’s Market, the largest open-air market in the state, or through countless Tri-Cities cultural events and museums which highlight every period of the area's important history. Unique shopping and dining are also available for visitors who are looking for memorable souvenirs or a taste of Pasco's epicurean delights.

While tourism is a large part of Pasco's economy, the cornerstone industries are retail, agriculture and manufacturing. The economy as a whole will continue to prosper as a result of the Port of Pasco and its ability to attract new businesses and industries to the Tri-Cities area. Pasco is already proud to be home to the Trade, Recreation and Agricultural Center (TRAC), and the premier convention hotel in the area, the Double Tree Hotel Pasco.

Pasco is situated near the intersection of I-182 and US 395. Access to Richland and Kennewick is quick and convenient. The town of Yakima is about 75 miles to the northeast, and a number of mountain ranges are to be found to the west.
