Attractions Lake Wissota Lake Wissota was formed in 1915 from a small pond into a 6,024 acre lake with a depth of 72' by the Wisconsin Minnesota Power Company as a tool in producing hydroelectric power. Located on the north shore is Lake Wissota State Park noted for its camping and boating activities. Swimming, picnicking and hiking are also available at the park. There are 81 well-spaced campsites with flush toilets, showers and electrical hookups. Two group campsites for up to 80 tents can be reserved for large group camping. Open year round, the park offers a variety of winter activities including cross-country ski trails, snow shoeing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. Irvine Park Located within the city limits, the park has over 300 acres of natural and scenic beauty, a zoo, historical displays, and camping facilities. The museum houses antique machinery, farm implements, and a 1936 fire truck as well as other items. Visit the Sunny Valley Schoolhouse, built in 1903, and the log cabin, over 100 years old. The zoo has animals of all types native to the state of Wisconsin. Cross county skiers, there are miles of trails in this park. Christmas Village Over 50,000 lights illuminate Irvine Park for the holiday season during December. Walk or drive through the 100 illuminate displays and scenes. Rose and Lily Garden Two gardens across from the Leinenkugel Hospitality Center that were planned, planted, and are maintained by volunteer efforts. The rose garden features 500 bushes while the lily garden has over 300 varieties.
