West Bend is one of the three fastest growing areas in the state. The shopping area of West Bend caters to both Fond du Lac and Milwaukee residents. This has helped West Bend to become a center for trade and business for the many farmers in the area.

Before they ceded territory in southeastern Wisconsin to the United States, the Potawatomi and Menominee Indians lived on the land that we now call West Bend.
