Rolling Hills is a private, gated community located atop the scenic hills of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, California. Incorporated in 1937, Rolling Hills maintains a ranch style/equestrian environment with an enduring respect for native wildlife and natural surroundings. Three gated roads with 24-hour guards are the only entrances to the City that spreads out for three-square miles.  This unique City has no commercial buildings or activities as it is strictly residential with a rural environment.  One story,  ranch style homes are enclosed with three-rail white fences. The General Plan calls for low density development with a minimum of one to five acre parcels.  23 miles of abundant equestrian trails meander throughout the area and there are two riding rings.  The Community Association and its Architectural Committee ensure that the original rural concept is maintained.

Rolling Hills residents are extremely active in community organizations throughout the Peninsula and dedicate themselves to preserving the unique lifestyle found only "behind the gates".
