Natural History
Advancing ice-age glaciers sculpted the beautiful hills of Camillus, forming the many area drumlin fields, and also the Nine Mine gorge and creek, a wonderful place to enjoy canoeing or trout fishing. The Camillus State Forest is one of the last ancient stands of hardwoods in New York. Now a state park and arboretum for walking and exploration!
